7 March: Spaghetti with roasted peppadew, capers and mozzarella

Dinner 7 March

By the time we left my parents’ house after an impromptu coffee session, I knew baked falafel was not going to happen. Not with an earache, empty stomach and soon-to-be-hungry baby around. But the alternative? Ugh. Dinner is difficult without a plan.

And then there was Nigel Slater, and The 30-Minute Cook, with a recipe for roasted pepper and mozzarella pasta. Which I promptly corrupted to within an inch of its life, but that still tasted good. And so much healthier than frozen pizza and chocolate mousse.

Fine. There was chocolate mousse too. It was, after all, Saturday night.
